2016 Annual Holiday Reception A Hit

December 23, 2016

A good time was had by all at this year’s Chamber Holiday Reception. The Chamber’s annual event was held this year at a new venue, the renovated and  more-beautiful-than-ever Shorehaven Golf Club in Norwalk. More than 200 people attended the festivities, which began with a cocktail reception featuring a seafood bar courtesy of Hillard Bloom Shellfish.

A delicious dinner followed with wine courtesy of Stew Leonard’s, and including comments from Chamber Chair, and President & CEO of the Financial Accounting Foundation Teresa Polley, as well as Ceci Maher, Executive Director of Person-to-Person and Sagine Joassin, on behalf of Person-to-Person. Person-to-Person was the evening’s beneficiary of raffle proceeds that raised more than $3,000 for the organization.  The local agency works toward creating communities of financially-stable, hunger-free homes, with educational opportunities for all through food pantries; a clothing center; financial assistance; casework services; camperships; scholarships; and a holiday toy store. Raffle baskets were provided courtesy of Stew Leonard’s.

Additional featured speakers included Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling; Jerry Effren, President, Shorehaven Golf Club (and Chamber Board member); Brian Dwyer, Shorehaven General Manager; Edward J. Musante, Jr., Chamber President; Clay Fowler, Spinnaker Real Estate Partners (event sponsor); and Carlos Osuba, People’s United Bank (event sponsor).
