Planning a company move or facility renovation? Consider Antinozzi Associates to help. Antinozzi Associates is a full-service architectural & interior design firm providing professional design services for just about any type of use. The firm, which as been around for 66 (63?) years, is headquartered in Bridgeport, expanded their Norwalk branch office at Building 301 in the Merritt 7 Corporate Park.
According to George Perham, Principal/Vice President at Antinozzi, the firm opened the new Norwalk office in 2012 to better serve clients in the area. ““We were asked to participate in a design selection process for capital improvements and on-call services at the Merritt 7 office complex,” says Perham. “We started an office in the complex to provide quicker hands-on services. This move also provided more convenient access to lower Fairfield and Westchester Counties where we now design more projects than when we were just located in Bridgeport.”
Antinozzi Associates specializes in design services for K-12 public schools, corporations, financial institutions, municipal buildings, and public housing. Project size is not a factor in the quality of service. The firm works on projects as small as a 1,000 square foot tenant fit-out, or as large as a 250,000 square foot school project – all with the same care and concentration. “No project is too small or too large,” says Perham. “Every project has the oversight of a principal-in-charge who remains one of the main contacts from beginning to end.”
New facilities, restoration/renovation work, and operational improvements to existing structures are all part of Antinozzi Associates’ portfolio. The firm’s K-12 educational design work is highly-regarded and commonly consists of large projects that are a combination of demolition, renovation, and new construction – such as the new 225,000 square foot Harding High School in Bridgeport. However, the firm recently completed a smaller renovation of Norwalk’s Rowayton Elementary School cafeteria.
“We designed the space to capture the energy of the students, solve major acoustical concerns, set standards for other Norwalk School District cafeteria environments, promote healthy eating, and improve lighting and ventilation – all while highlighting the location of the school on the Connecticut shoreline,” explains Perham.
The firm’s corporate design work is generally interior fit-out for all sizes of businesses – touching between 400,000 to 700,000 square feet of professional office space annually. In addition, Antinozzi has been designing branch banks for numerous financial institutions since the mid-70’s. They have created branding and design standards for major expansion initiatives across the Tri-State area for institutions such as People’s Bank, Webster Bank, Newtown Savings Bank, Savings Bank of Danbury, and Bankwell.
Antinozzi’s guiding principle is proactive support of its clients. “We become immersed with every client throughout the design process, providing them with the most efficient and cost-effective solution based on both time and budget,” says Perham. “We want all of our clients to know that we are part of their team, not hired consultants that come and go with no intention to ever be seen again.”
Antinozzi Associates has projects mainly in Connecticut, but have completed recent design and construction projects in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Vermont, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
