More than 30 million Americans have insufficient veins. Venous insufficiency cannot only be unsightly; they can cause medical issues such as leg pain, wounds that don’t heal and blood clots. The Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) is a nationally recognized leader in the treatment of varicose and spider veins. As the nation’s largest physician-owned vein practice, the Center offers cutting-edge treatment options throughout its expansive network of vein centers.
CVR employs leading vascular medicine specialists and medical staff. With all of our doctors trained in each vein procedure, treatment plans are customized to an individual’s needs and preferences. Vein treatments are performed in an office setting and are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare.
At CVR’s Norwalk and Stamford locations, you will be personally seen by Dr. Mark Edelman who has dedicated his career to improving his patients’ quality of life through the treatment of venous disease. Dr. Edelman is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology, with an added qualification in vascular/interventional radiology, and has extensive experience in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins. As part of his distinguished, 28-year medical career, Dr. Edelman was the former director of interventional radiology at Albany Memorial Hospital and North Shore Medical Center in Illinois. He joined CVR in 2012. He received his medical degree from New York University and completed an internal medicine internship at Beth Israel Medical Center. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and an interventional radiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
