March 6, 2018

The iconic Norwalk Inn and Conference Center is a great resource in the area for visitor’s to the city and local businesses alike. The Inn’s 116 rooms and suites offer the business and leisure traveler the best of the best in convenience, comfort and most importantly, value.

The Inn is now solely owned by the Handrinos family, one of the three original partners who purchased the then Norwalk Motor Inn in 1985. While well known for his participation in community organizations, his skill and proficiency as the consummate Innkeeper is that of which he is proudest. Recently, in partnership with Patriot Bank, Mr. Handrinos fulfilled his multi-million dollar vision for the Inn which called for not only the addition of a third floor to the sixty year old landmark adding 33 additional guest rooms, but also the total renovation of the historic Grumman House. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the ‘Guest House’ has been transformed into 11 unique luxury suites with features ranging from down robes to gourmet kitchenettes. As Handrinos states, “There is simply nothing like it in Norwalk.”

The extensive list of amenities available at the Inn includes services a guest might expect from a four-star property such as 24-hour fitness center and business centers. “We also have are some features a guest might not expect,” says Handrinos, “We offer an airport shuttle to all area airports – a service unique to our Inn. Even in the event of a power failure, a full back-up generator will provide uninterrupted service to the entire property.”

Guests will not go hungry at the Inn. A 50-year tradition in its own right, Adam’s Rib restaurant continues to feature its signature prime rib offering while the Patio Grille is a favorite of guests and local residents alike.

As the city’s corporate presence has flourished, so has the Inn’s stature as a major provider of support services. While the Inn has long been Norwalk’s most sought after location for all manner of celebrations and social events large and small, not so widely known is the Inn’s 4,000 square feet of space that is easily adaptable to a variety of business settings.

“The Inn’s success did not happen overnight. It has been closely tied to the support of the entire Norwalk community with the Chamber of Commerce playing a leading role,” explains Handrinos.

For area businesses and nonprofits, the Inn can respond to any sort of meeting or conference requirement – even an executive boardroom that’s sure to impress. Available services are complimentary including use of a wide range of in-house equipment including audio/visual, computer and film projection support and hi-definitions televisions. Color printers, FAX and copy services are readily available and the Inn can provide local transportation for out of town guests. Even breaks and meals can be tailored to the most demanding requirements and can be held in a choice of venues. Whatever the event, whatever the occasion, the Inn has an earned reputation for unparalleled performance.
